Description: Manages Cisco voice URI class configurations for SIP-based call routing using URI matching rules.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-VOICE-URI-CLASS-MIB?
The CISCO-VOICE-URI-CLASS-MIB configures Voice URI classes used for SIP-based dial-peer selection on Cisco voice gateways, matching inbound/outbound call routing based on SIP or TEL URI regular-expression patterns. It exposes configuration tables defining URI class tags and types, plus SIP-specific and TEL-specific pattern tables for user ID, host, and phone-context matching. It is primarily a call-routing configuration MIB rather than a hardware/environmental one, but it is used to verify that dial-peer URI matching rules are correctly provisioned, and its notification group can alert on configuration changes affecting call routing behavior. It explicitly builds on IETF SIP (RFC 2543) and RFC 2806 TEL URL standards, as noted in its own description. It is deployed on Cisco IOS/IOS-XE voice gateways and unified communications routers performing SIP trunk call routing. Engineers can download the CISCO-VOICE-URI-CLASS-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-VOICE-URI-CLASS-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Cisco IOS/IOS-XE voice gateways
- Cisco unified communications routers (SIP trunking)
Monitoring Examples
An administrator polls cvUriClassCfgTable/cvUriClassCfgEntry to see each cvUriClassCfgTag and cvUriClassCfgType (SIP vs. TEL), then checks cvSIPUriClassCfgTable for the specific cvSIPUriClassCfgUserIDPattern and cvSIPUriClassCfgHostPattern regex rules. If inbound calls aren't matching the expected dial peer, comparing the configured cvSIPUriClassCfgHostPattern against the actual caller URI reveals a regex misconfiguration causing calls to fall through to a default route.
What Can Be Monitored
- configured URI class tags and types
- SIP URI pattern matching rules
- TEL URI pattern matching rules
- URI class row status/configuration state
