What Is CISCO-VISM-SESSION-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-VISM-SESSION-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES module describing which features of CISCO-VISM-SESSION-MIB are supported by Cisco's VISM (Voice Interworking Service Module) agent implementations on MGX ATM voice gateway platforms. It contains no runtime data objects of its own, serving only to document conformance/implementation coverage for management-station tooling. As a pure capability declaration it has no direct role in monitoring hardware or software status; that function belongs entirely to CISCO-VISM-SESSION-MIB itself. It exists solely as a dependency/companion to CISCO-VISM-SESSION-MIB and is meaningful only in that context. It is used by MIB-compilation and capability-negotiation tooling for Cisco MGX voice gateway management, not for live device polling. Engineers can download the CISCO-VISM-SESSION-CAPABILITY file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
