Description: Physical port role, type, trust level, and port-group FSM configuration for Cisco UCS fabric interconnect ports

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-PORT-MIB?

CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-PORT-MIB is a Cisco Systems Inc. proprietary MIB modeling the PORT management-information package for Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS). Its objects cover a port-domain-endpoint table (instance ID, DN, endpoint DN, interface role/type, locale, name, peer DN, transport, type) and a port-group table (instance ID, DN, locale, name, transport, type), among further per-port finite-state-machine (FSM) tracking tables. As a status/configuration MIB it lets an administrator confirm port role, type, and peer connectivity within a Cisco UCS fabric interconnect. It is deployed on Cisco Systems Unified Computing System (UCS) fabric interconnects. Engineers can download the CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-PORT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-PORT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco Systems Unified Computing System (UCS) fabric interconnects

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks cucsPortDomainEpIfRole and cucsPortDomainEpPeerDn to confirm a port's role and peer connectivity within a Cisco UCS fabric interconnect.
