Description: Maintenance policy acknowledgment workflows and change-mode control for Cisco UCS service profile updates and scheduled disruptions

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-LSMAINT-MIB?

CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-LSMAINT-MIB is part of the Cisco UCS Manager MIB family and manages maintenance-policy acknowledgment workflows -- the change-control mechanism that requires operator sign-off before a disruptive service profile update (such as a firmware or configuration change) is applied. It exposes objects tracking whether a pending change has been acknowledged (cucsLsmaintAckAcked), who acknowledged or requested it, and whether the change is disruptive to the running server. Its monitoring value is primarily operational/change-management: tracking outstanding unacknowledged maintenance actions helps an admin see which servers are awaiting a scheduled reboot or disruptive update, and the admin-state/disruption flags flag which changes will cause downtime if approved. It depends on the shared UCS Manager service-profile and policy object model referenced by its DN fields. It is used in UCS-managed data centers that enforce change windows before disruptive firmware or profile updates take effect. Engineers can download the CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-LSMAINT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-UNIFIED-COMPUTING-LSMAINT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco UCS Manager (blade and rack servers)

Monitoring Examples

cucsLsmaintAckTable/cucsLsmaintAckEntry exposes cucsLsmaintAckAcked, cucsLsmaintAckAckedBy, and cucsLsmaintAckDisr so an admin can see which pending maintenance actions are still awaiting acknowledgment and whether applying them will disrupt the server. cucsLsmaintAckChanges and cucsLsmaintAckChangeBy identify what changed and who requested it, letting an operator audit outstanding change requests before a maintenance window.

What Can Be Monitored

  • pending maintenance acknowledgment status
  • disruptive vs. non-disruptive change flag
  • who requested/acknowledged a change
  • admin state of pending updates
