Module: CISCO-RTTMON-MIB

OID (symbolic): CISCO-RTTMON-MIB::rttMplsVpnMonTypeNumPackets

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.16.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description:

This value represents the number of packets that need to be transmitted. This value is currently used for Jitter probe. This object is applicable to jitter probe only.

The usage of this value in RTT operation is same as rttMonEchoAdminNumPackets.

What is rttMplsVpnMonTypeNumPackets?

This holds the count of probe packets to transmit during a jitter measurement test. It controls how many samples the probe collects to assess network delay variability. An operator sets this higher for longer tests (e.g., 1000 packets) to get more statistically reliable jitter measurements.
