Module: CISCO-RTTMON-MIB
OID (symbolic): CISCO-RTTMON-MIB::rttMonHistoryAdminNumLives
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.42.1.2.8.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Integer32
Access: read-create
Description:
The maximum number of history lives to record. A life is defined by the countdown (or transition) to zero by the rttMonCtrlOperRttLife object. A new life is created when the same conceptual RTT control row is restarted via the transition of the rttMonCtrlOperRttLife object and its subsequent countdown.
The value of zero will shut off all rttMonHistoryAdminTable data collection.
What is rttMonHistoryAdminNumLives?
This object specifies how many distinct history cycles (lives) the system should record before discarding old history data, with a value of 0 disabling history collection entirely. A new life is created each time an RTT probe restarts or times out, allowing the device to track multiple probe cycles. Network monitoring administrators configure this to control how much historical RTT data is retained, balancing between memory usage and historical analysis capability.
