What Is CISCO-ITP-TC-MIB?

CISCO-ITP-TC-MIB is a Cisco proprietary textual-conventions module that defines shared data types (such as Called/Calling Party Point Codes and Common Language Location Codes) used across the family of Cisco ITP (IP Transfer Point) MIBs governing SS7/SIGTRAN signaling management. It belongs to Cisco's telecom SS7 signaling technology area and, being purely a TEXTUAL-CONVENTION definitions module, exposes no tables or scalar objects of its own. It is not directly used to monitor hardware or software status; instead it underpins the object syntax used by data-bearing ITP MIBs (such as CISCO-ITP-DSMR-SMPP-MIB and CISCO-ITP-GSP2-MIB) that do expose monitorable SS7 signaling-point and message-routing status. Its explicit dependency is on ITU-T Q-series SS7 standards (Q.700, Q.701) that define the underlying signaling concepts it encodes as SNMP types. It is deployed wherever Cisco ITP SS7 signaling gateways are present, as a foundational, non-polled dependency of the other ITP MIBs. The CISCO-ITP-TC-MIB MIB is therefore relevant to operators only indirectly, through the compliance statements and data types it contributes to the signaling MIBs that reference it.

This module defines only TEXTUAL-CONVENTION type definitions with no tables or scalar objects, so there are no runtime values to poll or a monitoring scenario to describe; its role is purely to supply shared SS7 data types (e.g., point codes) to other Cisco ITP MIBs.
