What Is CISCO-IPV6-MLD-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-IPV6-MLD-CAPABILITY is a Cisco AGENT-CAPABILITIES module describing which parts of the standard IPV6-MLD-MIB (IPv6 Multicast Listener Discovery, including MLDv2) a Cisco device or software release implements. Like other capability modules it carries no runtime operational data of its own -- the actual MLD group-membership and interface data lives in IPV6-MLD-MIB. Its only content is a declarative list of supported object groups and compliance clauses used for capability negotiation, so it provides no hardware or software health telemetry. It is entirely dependent on the vendor-neutral IPV6-MLD-MIB standard that it profiles. It is typically used by network management systems checking MIB support before attempting to poll IPv6 multicast listener data on a Cisco device. Engineers can download the CISCO-IPV6-MLD-CAPABILITY file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
