Category: Cisco Devices, Hardware and Environment

Description: Provides management objects for logical server (service profile) boot order and boot policy configuration on Cisco UCS/Firepower platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is CISCO-FIREPOWER-LSBOOT-MIB?

CISCO-FIREPOWER-LSBOOT-MIB is part of Cisco's UCS/Firepower chassis management information model, covering the LSBOOT package that manages logical-server (service profile) boot order and boot security policy for compute blades. It exposes objects describing whether secure boot is enabled for a service profile and the default boot policy definition, including whether advanced boot-order configuration is applicable. Its monitoring relevance is largely configuration/software-status oriented: administrators can audit whether secure boot is enabled on a logical server and confirm the effective boot policy assigned to a blade, which matters for security compliance and predictable provisioning rather than for live hardware sensor data. It shares the DN/RN object-addressing model of the broader CISCO-FIREPOWER-*-MIB family, tying boot policies to specific service profile instances. It is deployed on Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects and Firepower 9300 chassis managing blade boot configuration via service profiles. Engineers can download the CISCO-FIREPOWER-LSBOOT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-FIREPOWER-LSBOOT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnect
  • Cisco Firepower 9300 chassis blade

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll cfprLsbootBootSecurityTable/cfprLsbootBootSecurityEntry, keyed by cfprLsbootBootSecurityInstanceId, checking cfprLsbootBootSecuritySecureBoot to confirm secure boot is enabled for a given logical server's distinguished name (cfprLsbootBootSecurityDn). Separately, cfprLsbootDefTable/cfprLsbootDefEntry and its cfprLsbootDefAdvBootOrderApplicable flag let an operator see whether a service profile's default boot policy supports advanced (multi-device) boot ordering. A blade found with secure boot unexpectedly disabled would flag a security-compliance drift.

What Can Be Monitored

  • secure boot enabled status
  • default boot policy definition
  • advanced boot order applicability
  • boot policy instance identifiers
