CISCO-CBP-TC-MIB is a Cisco module that defines shared textual conventions (TCs) used by the CISCO-CBP-BASE-CFG-MIB, CISCO-CBP-BASE-MON-MIB, and other Class-Based Policy MIBs, rather than a standalone data-bearing MIB. It exposes no runtime hardware or software status data on its own; it only defines reusable data types referenced by other Cisco CBP MIB modules. Because it contains no monitorable objects, it has no direct role in tracking uptime, temperature, load, or fault conditions, but it underpins the correct interpretation of values reported by the CBP MIBs that import its textual conventions. It is explicitly a dependency for CISCO-CBP-BASE-CFG-MIB, CISCO-CBP-BASE-MON-MIB, and CISCO-CBP-TARGET-MIB, and any future MIB extending them. It is used wherever Cisco's Class-Based Policy framework is deployed, indirectly supporting monitoring of class-based policy configuration and status on Cisco routers/switches. This module defines only textual conventions (shared data types), with no object identifiers of its own to poll for values. Its purpose is to be imported by CISCO-CBP-BASE-CFG-MIB, CISCO-CBP-BASE-MON-MIB, and CISCO-CBP-TARGET-MIB so that those modules share consistent type definitions for class-based policy attributes. A monitoring tool would never query this MIB directly; it would only encounter its types indirectly when polling the dependent CBP MIBs.
