Description: Declares SNMP agent capabilities for Cisco ATM MIB modules.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CISCO-ATM-CAPABILITY?
CISCO-ATM-CAPABILITY is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module that documents which parts of the standard IETF ATM-MIB a given Cisco agent implementation actually supports, rather than defining any managed objects itself. It belongs to the ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode) networking technology area and serves purely as an implementation-conformance statement for network management tool developers and compilers. As a capabilities module it exposes no runtime data at all — no interface counters, environment sensors, performance metrics, or fault tables — and therefore has no role in monitoring hardware or software status directly. Its entire purpose is to reference and qualify support for the IETF ATM-MIB, making it explicitly dependent on that standard. It is used at MIB-compile/agent-capability-negotiation time in NMS tooling working with Cisco ATM interface hardware, rather than during live monitoring, making this CISCO-ATM-CAPABILITY reference primarily a tooling artifact rather than a polled data source.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CISCO-ATM-CAPABILITY. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Cisco ATM interface hardware (conformance statement only, not itself monitored)
Monitoring Examples
This module contains no managed objects or tables to poll; it is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES statement listing which ATM-MIB groups and objects a specific Cisco agent release supports. There is no monitoring scenario to describe — its only consumer is MIB-compiler/capability-negotiation tooling, not live SNMP polling.
