This object sets a weight (1-8) used to select which encap tunnel in a group is preferred during switchover or reversion, the dynamic-tunnel counterpart to the same weighting mechanism used for static tunnels, as the description states. Because dynamic tunnels can be resignaled onto a new path automatically, this weight still governs preference among group members even as the underlying signaled path changes over time. For example, a dynamic tunnel weighted 8 against a sibling weighted 4 remains the preferred member of its group even after either tunnel has been resignaled following a network event.
