What Is CIENA-CES-ALARM-MIB?

CIENA-CES-ALARM-MIB is a Ciena, Inc. proprietary MIB (built on ALARM-MIB/ITU-ALARM-TC-MIB) defining alarm objects for the CES (Carrier Ethernet Services?) platform. Its objects cover an alarm cut-off action, an alarm table (description, threshold, leak, GPO — General Purpose Output relay, every/repeat setting, minor/major/critical escalation, sense, trigger), an alarm-severity table, and an active-alarm table (severity, invoke ID, managed-object class/interpretation/instance, acknowledge flag, description). As a status/notification MIB it lets an administrator review active alarms and their escalation severity on a Ciena CES platform. It is deployed on Ciena, Inc. Carrier Ethernet Services (CES) platforms. Engineers can download the CIENA-CES-ALARM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
