Description: Manages static and LACP link aggregation group (LAG) configuration and member port status on Cisco IE1000 industrial switches.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is CIE1000-AGGR-MIB?
CIE1000-AGGR-MIB manages static and LACP-based link aggregation group (LAG) configuration and member-port status on Cisco IE1000 series industrial Ethernet switches, used in ruggedized industrial/OT network deployments. It exposes global load-balancing hash settings (based on source/destination MAC, IP, or TCP/UDP port), a configuration table for aggregation groups keyed by aggregation index listing member port assignments and configured action, plus a row-editor table for staging/creating new aggregation group entries. This MIB is used to monitor the software configuration status of link aggregation on the switch: which physical ports are bonded into which LAG, what load-balancing hash mode is applied, and whether a pending row-editor change has been committed, which is important for verifying that redundant/high-bandwidth uplinks in industrial network topologies remain correctly configured. It complements the standard IEEE 802.3ad/802.1AX LAG conventions and the generic IF-MIB for the resulting logical interface's traffic counters. It is deployed in industrial automation, manufacturing, and utility environments using Cisco IE1000 ruggedized switches for resilient Ethernet uplinks. Engineers can download the CIE1000-AGGR-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in CIE1000-AGGR-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Cisco IE1000 industrial Ethernet switch
Monitoring Examples
An operator reads cie1000AggrConfigGroupTable by cie1000AggrConfigGroupAggrIndexNo to confirm which physical ports are listed in cie1000AggrConfigGroupPortMembers for a given LAG, and checks cie1000AggrConfigModeGlobalsSourceAndDestinationIpAddr or the MAC/TCP-UDP hash globals to verify the configured load-balancing scheme matches network design intent. If cie1000AggrConfigGroupAction shows a group as disabled or the row-editor staging objects (cie1000AggrConfigGroupTableRowEditorPortMembers) show an uncommitted change, that flags a LAG that isn't actually passing traffic as expected despite appearing configured. This is critical in industrial settings where a misconfigured aggregation could silently reduce a redundant uplink to a single active port.
What Can Be Monitored
- aggregation group port membership
- load-balancing hash mode (MAC/IP/TCP-UDP)
- aggregation group action/status
- pending row-editor aggregation changes
