Category: Vendor: bintec

Description: Manages binary I/O port states and signal configuration on bintec BIANCA/BRICK access router platforms.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is BIANCA-BRICK-BINARY-MIB?

BIANCA-BRICK-BINARY-MIB is a legacy BinTec/Bianca-Brick (later Funkwerk) proprietary MIB (enterprise OID 272) providing an internal binary-data storage mechanism for the router's other MIBs, letting arbitrarily large or formatted objects be chained across multiple table rows. Its internal-use binary table, public binary table, and file table each record chunked binary data with index/next-index/set-ID linkage, plus a file table recording name, size, and public flag. As a structural MIB it has no direct monitoring value of its own — other Bianca-Brick MIBs use it to store data that doesn't fit standard SNMP scalar types. It is deployed on legacy BinTec/Bianca-Brick routers. Engineers can download the BIANCA-BRICK-BINARY-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BIANCA-BRICK-BINARY-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy BinTec/Bianca-Brick routers

Monitoring Examples

Another BinTec/Bianca-Brick MIB module references binFileTable internally when it needs to store a chunk of data too large for a standard scalar object, such as a configuration blob.
