Category: Telephony and VoIP
Description: Manages beroNet VoIP gateway configuration, monitoring SIP trunk status, channel states, and call statistics.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is BEROFIX-MIB?
BEROFIX-MIB is beroNet's enterprise MIB for its berofix VoIP gateway product line, covering device identity, firmware versions, network interfaces, and telephony line interfaces. It exposes both configuration/inventory data (manufacturer, serial number, revision, root/application/FPGA firmware versions) and interface-level data via berofixLineInterfaceTable (line interface type) and berofixNetworkTable (MAC address and network settings). This MIB supports monitoring both hardware identity/status and software version status — confirming which firmware (root, application, FPGA) is running and the state of each VoIP/telephony line interface — important for a device bridging analog/digital telephony to SIP/VoIP. No explicit dependency on other standard MIBs is indicated; it appears to be a self-contained vendor MIB. It's deployed on beroNet berofix VoIP gateway appliances connecting PBX/telephony trunks to SIP-based VoIP networks. Engineers can download the BEROFIX-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in BEROFIX-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- beroNet berofix VoIP gateway
Monitoring Examples
An administrator can poll berofixRootVersion, berofixAppVersion, and berofixFPGAVersion to confirm the gateway is running expected firmware after an upgrade, and check berofixSerial/berofixMACAddress for asset tracking. Polling berofixLineInterfaceTable/berofixLineInterfaceEntry (via berofixLineInterfaceType) reveals the configured type of each telephony line interface, useful for detecting a misconfigured or down trunk. The berofixNetworkTable/berofixNetworkEntry entries let an operator confirm the device's network configuration matches inventory records.
What Can Be Monitored
- device serial number and manufacturer identity
- firmware versions (root, application, FPGA)
- line interface type/status per trunk
- network interface MAC address
