Category: Device Management, VLAN and Bridging, Vendor: Allied Telesis

Description: Manages IEEE 802.1D bridging functions, spanning tree state, and forwarding database on Allied Telesyn LAN switches.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ATI-BRIDGE-MIB?

ATI-BRIDGE-MIB is a legacy Allied Telesis (enterprise OID 207) proprietary MIB reporting bridge/Spanning Tree status per LAN segment. Its base table, keyed by LAN ID, records bridge address, port count, and bridge type; a port table records circuit, delay-exceeded/MTU-exceeded discard counts; and an STP table records protocol specification, priority, time since topology change, topology-change count, designated root, root cost/port, and max age. As a status MIB it lets an administrator confirm spanning-tree topology stability and discard rates on legacy Allied Telesis bridging equipment. It is deployed on legacy Allied Telesis bridging equipment. Engineers can download the ATI-BRIDGE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ATI-BRIDGE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Legacy Allied Telesis bridging equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks atbrStpTopChanges and atbrBasePortDelayExceededDiscards to diagnose spanning-tree instability on legacy Allied Telesis bridging equipment.

What Can Be Monitored

  • spanning-tree topology stability and discard statistics
