Description: Manages local user account credentials, privilege levels, and login session tracking on Allied Telesis network devices.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is AT-USER-MIB?
AT-USER-MIB is an Allied Telesis private MIB exposing information about user accounts on the device, covering both users currently logged in and users configured in the device's local user database. Although no sample objects were provided, the module description indicates it holds account-level data such as usernames, privilege levels, and active login session details. Its monitoring value is oriented toward software/administrative status rather than physical hardware - letting an administrator see who is currently logged into the device and audit the configured local account list, which is useful for security monitoring and detecting unauthorized or stale accounts. It likely complements standard SNMPv3 USM/VACM security MIBs and the device's own AAA configuration rather than replacing them. It is used in Allied Telesis switch and router deployments where administrators need SNMP-based visibility into local user accounts and active sessions for security auditing. Engineers can download the AT-USER-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AT-USER-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Allied Telesis network switches/routers
Monitoring Examples
No sample objects were provided for this MIB in this batch, so a concrete polling example referencing real object names cannot be constructed; in general use, an administrator would walk the local user database table to enumerate configured accounts and privilege levels, and a separate active-session table to see which accounts are currently logged in.
What Can Be Monitored
- configured local user accounts
- user privilege levels
- currently logged-in users
- active login sessions
