Last Updated: 2010-06-14

Category: IP and Core Protocols, Routing Protocols, Vendor: Allied Telesis

Description: Manages IP routing configuration, ARP tables, and layer-3 interface parameters on Allied Telesis routers and switches.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is AT-IP-MIB?

This is a vendor-specific MIB from Allied Telesis for IP routing configuration, ARP table, and layer-3 interface parameters on Allied Telesis routers and switches. It exposes Allied Telesis-specific extensions to IP-layer configuration and status beyond what the standard IP-MIB provides. It supports monitoring the software status of the routing layer — confirming ARP resolution, IP interface configuration, and routing-related parameters are correct and current — which helps diagnose layer-3 connectivity problems. It explicitly extends and works alongside the standard IETF IP-MIB (RFC 4293) rather than replacing it. It is deployed across the Allied Telesis router/layer-3 switch product line for management of IP routing/ARP behavior specific to AT firmware. Engineers can download the AT-IP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in AT-IP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Allied Telesis router/layer-3 switch

Monitoring Examples

No sample objects were captured, but an AT-specific IP MIB of this kind would typically expose ARP-table-style entries and IP interface configuration objects (an atIp*Table/Entry pattern) supplementing the standard ipNetToMediaTable. An administrator would cross-check this AT-specific ARP/IP data against the standard IP-MIB when troubleshooting a host that isn't resolving correctly at layer 3.

What Can Be Monitored

  • ARP table entries
  • IP interface configuration
  • layer-3 routing parameters
