What Is ASCEND-MIBSLOT-MIB?

ASCEND-MIBSLOT-MIB is an Ascend proprietary MIB for managing physical slot and line-card configuration/inventory in Ascend modular chassis equipment. It exposes per-slot card type, presence, and administrative/operational status. Its monitoring purpose is hardware inventory and status: showing which cards are installed in which slot and whether each is operationally up, providing basic hardware-presence health checking for the chassis. It parallels the general physical-inventory concept found in standard ENTITY-MIB. It was deployed on Ascend modular access/multiplexer chassis with hot-swappable line cards. Engineers can download the ASCEND-MIBSLOT-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ASCEND-MIBSLOT-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor.
