Description: Acme Packet SBC network-to-network controller configuration and peering management.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is APNNC-MIB?

APNNC-MIB is an Acme Packet (later Oracle) proprietary MIB reporting NNC (Net-Net Central, Acme Packet's element-management system) server reachability from a Net-Net session border controller. Its objects record the remote and local NNC server addresses/names and a reachability flag with a clear action. As a status MIB it lets an administrator confirm whether a session border controller can currently reach its NNC management server. It is deployed on Acme Packet (Oracle) Net-Net session border controllers managed via NNC. Engineers can download the APNNC-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in APNNC-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Acme Packet (Oracle) Net-Net session border controllers

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks apNNCServerUnreachable to confirm whether a Net-Net SBC has lost connectivity to its Net-Net Central management server before troubleshooting a reported management-visibility gap.
