What Is ALCOMA-MIB?
ALCOMA-MIB is a vendor-specific MIB from Alcoma, a manufacturer of point-to-point microwave radio links, used to manage and monitor its microwave link products. It exposes data organized around radio link supervision, configuration, status, and historical statistics, covering signal-level and power parameters such as receive level, transmit power, and inter-site link status. It is explicitly used to monitor the hardware status of the radio equipment - received signal level (alLRX-Level), transmit power (alLTX-PWR), and general link/hardware status and alarms (alLStatus, alLHistory) are critical indicators of microwave link health and equipment degradation. As a proprietary microwave radio MIB it shows no apparent dependency on other standard MIBs beyond generic SNMP framework conventions. It is typically deployed on Alcoma point-to-point microwave radio terminals used in wireless backhaul links for telecom and enterprise networks. Engineers can download the ALCOMA-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

Monitoring Examples
An admin would poll alLRX-Level and alLTX-PWR to track the received signal strength and transmit power of a microwave link, where a drop in RX level could indicate a misaligned antenna, fog/rain fade, or equipment fault. alLStatus and alLHistory provide current and historical link status/alarm records useful for diagnosing intermittent link outages. alLSupervisor and alLConfiguration expose supervisory and configuration parameters for the radio hardware, such as those grouped under alLIAISL for inter-site link supervision.
