Description:
The value of tFilterRUTTimeout specifies the amount of time in seconds that is allowed for receiving a response from the far end host. If a reply is not received within this time the far end host is considered unresponsive.
What is tFilterRUTTimeout?
This timeout value specifies how many seconds the system will wait for a response from a remote host when performing Reverse-path lookups or host validation. If no reply arrives within this window, the host is marked as unresponsive. A network operator configures this to balance fast failure detection against false positives on slow links.
