Description: The global ID used in the creation of local IPv6 unicast addresses (RFC 4193). An explicit value may be specified for the global ID or this object may be set to all zero to have a global ID be created based on the algorithm from the RFC.
What is alaIPv6GlobalID?
Stores or configures the 40-bit Global ID component used to construct locally-assigned IPv6 unique local unicast addresses as defined in RFC 4193. Setting this to all zeros causes the device to auto-generate a Global ID using the RFC algorithm.
