What Is ADTRAN-TC?
ADTRAN-TC is an ADTRAN vendor MIB that defines shared textual conventions and enumerated types imported by ADTRAN's many product-specific MIB modules, rather than exposing monitorable objects itself. Its centerpiece, AdProductIdentifier, is a single very large INTEGER enumeration assigning a stable numeric identity to essentially every ADTRAN hardware product and card — Total Access, NetVanta, ATLAS, MX28xx, OPTI-MX, and their individual line/interface cards — used to populate the adProducts branch of the ADTRAN enterprise tree so an agent's sysObjectID or entity table can identify exactly which box or card is running. It also defines AdPerformance (generic performance-statistics OID identifiers), AdSharedCommon (identifiers for shared sub-MIBs like adFRHistory and adTARouterGroup), AdAlarmSeverity (informational/warning/minor/major/critical), and the classic RFC1757-style EntryStatus row-lifecycle enumeration. Because it carries no objects of its own, it depends entirely on being imported by the actual product MIBs that define the real polling targets, and it's deployed across ADTRAN's Total Access, NetVanta, and ATLAS product families as a useful ADTRAN-TC reference for the numeric product and alarm codes those MIBs will report.
