Category: Vendor: ACC/Ericsson

Description: Defines diagnostic and loopback test capabilities for ACC/Ericsson router interfaces and subsystems.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ACC-TEST?

ACC-TEST is a vendor-specific SNMP module for ACC/Ericsson access routers that defines diagnostic and loopback test capabilities for router interfaces and internal subsystems. It exposes objects to trigger tests and read back their pass/fail results rather than continuous operational telemetry. Its monitoring value lies in on-demand hardware/software fault diagnosis — an operator can invoke a loopback test on an interface to confirm the physical layer and associated hardware path are functioning, complementing continuous interface counters found in other ACC MIBs. It works in conjunction with the router's interface and PSTN/T1/E1 MIBs whose links it tests. It is used in field troubleshooting scenarios for ACC router deployments, such as verifying a suspect WAN or trunk interface. Engineers can download the ACC-TEST file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-TEST. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ACC/Ericsson access router

Monitoring Examples

No sample object names were extracted for this module. Typically an administrator would set a loopback-test trigger object and then read a corresponding result/status object to confirm whether a given interface passed or failed a diagnostic loopback, revealing a bad cable or faulty interface card. Because no sample_objects were provided, exact object names should be confirmed against the actual MIB.

What Can Be Monitored

  • interface loopback test trigger
  • diagnostic test result/status
  • subsystem test pass/fail state
