Category: Vendor: ACC/Ericsson

Description: Manages called number screening and routing rules on ACC/Ericsson access routers for ISDN call acceptance and dial routing decisions.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ACC-CALLEDNUMBER?

ACC-CALLEDNUMBER is an enterprise MIB for ACC/Ericsson access routers managing called-number screening and routing rules used in ISDN dial-access call acceptance and routing decisions. It exposes configuration objects defining which called numbers are permitted, blocked, or routed to specific destinations for incoming ISDN calls. As primarily a policy/configuration MIB, its monitoring value is largely indirect: confirming the number-screening table is populated and active tells an operator the dial-access security/routing policy is correctly applied on the device. It works together with ACC-DIALMGMT and ACC-CM, which handle the broader dial admission-control and connection-management logic that called-number screening feeds into. It is deployed on ACC/Ericsson ISDN dial-access routers used for dial-in/dial-backup connectivity where call screening by phone number is required. Engineers can download the ACC-CALLEDNUMBER file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ACC-CALLEDNUMBER. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ACC/Ericsson ISDN dial-access router

Monitoring Examples

An administrator reviews the called-number table to confirm a specific dial-in number is present and mapped to the correct routing action, verifying that screening rules block unauthorized numbers while allowing legitimate remote users through. If expected entries are missing or misconfigured, incoming calls from valid remote sites could be unexpectedly rejected.

What Can Be Monitored

  • called-number screening rules
  • call routing/acceptance policy
  • number-based call admission configuration
