What Is ZXROSNG-TPOAM-MIB?

ZXROSNG-TPOAM-MIB is a ZTE proprietary module for the ZXROSNG transport platform implementing Transport Profile OAM based on ITU-T Y.1731, covering Ethernet performance monitoring and fault management for carrier Ethernet services. It exposes configuration for maintenance entities/points and monitoring objects for continuity check, loss/delay measurement, and fault/alarm indication. This gives an administrator direct visibility into the software/service health of Ethernet transport paths: continuity-check failures reveal connectivity faults, and delay/loss measurements reveal degrading service performance before it becomes a customer-visible outage. It is built directly on the ITU-T Y.1731 (and related G.8013/MEF) Ethernet OAM standard. It is deployed in ZTE carrier Ethernet/transport network elements running ZXROSNG software that need standards-based end-to-end service assurance. Engineers can download the ZXROSNG-TPOAM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXROSNG-TPOAM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE ZXROSNG transport/carrier Ethernet network elements

Monitoring Examples

No specific object names were captured in sample_objects, but consistent with its Y.1731 basis the module would expose maintenance-entity tables along with continuity-check status and delay/loss-measurement result objects. An administrator would poll the continuity-check status for a maintenance association to detect a connectivity fault, and trend the delay-measurement results to catch service degradation on a carrier Ethernet path before customers notice.

What Can Be Monitored

  • maintenance entity/association configuration
  • continuity-check fault status
  • frame delay measurement
  • frame loss measurement
  • OAM alarm indication
