Description: Manages ZTE ZXROSNG MPLS Traffic Engineering tunnels, RSVP-TE LSP attributes, and bandwidth allocation.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZXROSNG-MPLS-TE-MIB?

ZXROSNG-MPLS-TE-MIB is a ZTE proprietary MIB for the ZXROSNG platform that manages MPLS Traffic Engineering (TE) tunnels, including RSVP-TE signaling behavior, graceful restart, and bandwidth/backup-tunnel configuration. Its data is largely configuration and operational-state oriented: global TE enable flags, RSVP signaling refresh intervals and miss thresholds, graceful-restart timers, and backup tunnel ID allocation. In monitoring terms this MIB is used to verify that MPLS TE signaling software is functioning correctly -- for example whether RSVP-TE graceful restart parameters are set to expected values and whether the global TE feature is enabled -- which is important for diagnosing tunnel setup failures or unexpected LSP re-signaling rather than physical hardware faults. It builds conceptually on standard MPLS/RSVP-TE and MPLS-TE MIB concepts (similar to IETF MPLS-TE-MIB and MPLS-LSR-MIB) even though this is a ZTE-specific implementation. It is typically deployed on ZXROSNG-based service-provider core/edge routers running MPLS-TE for traffic engineering across the backbone. Engineers can download the ZXROSNG-MPLS-TE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXROSNG-MPLS-TE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE ZXROSNG-based router

Monitoring Examples

An admin would check zxMplsTEGlobalCfgTEEnable to confirm MPLS TE is enabled globally, then review zxMplsTEGlobalCfgRsvpExpNull and zxMplsTEGlobalCfgRsvpNoneNull to verify RSVP explicit/implicit null label handling matches the network design. Objects like zxMplsTEGlobalCfgGRRefInterval, zxMplsTEGlobalCfgGRRefMisses, and zxMplsTEGlobalCfgGRRecoverTime would be polled to confirm graceful-restart refresh timing is correctly tuned, since a mismatch here can cause TE tunnels to flap or fail to recover after a control-plane restart. zxMplsTEGlobalCfgABackTunnelMinID indicates the starting ID range reserved for backup tunnels, useful when auditing fast-reroute backup tunnel allocation under zxMplsTEGlobalOper.

What Can Be Monitored

  • global MPLS TE enable status
  • RSVP-TE explicit/implicit null label settings
  • graceful-restart refresh interval and missed-refresh threshold
  • graceful-restart recovery and restart timers
  • backup tunnel ID allocation range
  • TE signaling refresh interval and miss count
