What Is ZXR10-PBR-MIB?
This MIB belongs to ZTE's ZXR10 router/switch platform and covers Policy-Based Routing (PBR), a feature that forwards traffic based on administrator-defined policies rather than only destination-based routing tables. It exposes configuration data for PBR rules applied per interface, including the route-map name bound to each interface for both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic, and row-status controls for enabling or removing these bindings. Rather than hardware health, this MIB is used to monitor and audit software-level routing policy configuration and status, i.e., confirming that the correct route-map is active on the correct interface and that policy rows are in the expected administrative state. It depends on the route-map/policy definitions configured elsewhere on the device (typically via CLI) and interacts with the underlying IP forwarding tables. It is typically deployed in enterprise or service-provider edge routers where traffic needs to be steered by policy rather than plain destination routing, such as for load balancing or path selection across multiple WAN links, where ZXR10-PBR-MIB SNMP monitoring helps confirm route-map policies remain correctly applied.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-PBR-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE ZXR10 router/switch
Monitoring Examples
An administrator would poll zxr10PbrIPv4Table / zxr10PbrIPv4Entry to see, for each entry, the zxr10PbrIPv4InterfaceName and its bound zxr10PbrIPv4RouteMapName, using zxr10PbrIPv4RowStatus to confirm the entry is active. The parallel zxr10PbrIPv6Table exposes the same structure for IPv6 policy routing. If a route-map name appears blank or the row status shows anything other than active on an interface expected to have PBR applied, traffic will silently fall back to normal destination-based routing, which is an important misconfiguration to catch via monitoring.
What Can Be Monitored
- route-map bound per interface (IPv4/IPv6)
- PBR entry row status
- PBR global policy objects
