What Is ZXR10-MPLS-LABELMGR-MIB?

This MIB module belongs to ZTE's ZXR10 series MPLS-capable routers and switches and covers the internal label management subsystem that assigns and tracks MPLS labels used by LDP, RSVP-TE, and other label-distribution protocols. It exposes configuration and operational data such as label pool types, configured minimum/maximum label ranges, and the currently in-use label range boundaries. Operationally it is used to monitor the health and capacity of the label space itself, essentially a resource-utilization view rather than classic hardware sensors: administrators watch how much of the configured label range is consumed to catch impending label exhaustion before it causes MPLS forwarding or signaling failures. It has an implicit dependency on the underlying MPLS forwarding and label-distribution mechanisms already running on the device, since the label ranges it reports are only meaningful in that context. The ZXR10-MPLS-LABELMGR-MIB MIB is typically deployed in service-provider and enterprise MPLS core/edge routers where operators need visibility into label-space capacity planning.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-MPLS-LABELMGR-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE ZXR10 MPLS router/switch

Monitoring Examples

An administrator would poll zxr10LabelRangeTable / zxr10LabelRangeEntry to compare zxr10LabelRangeCfgMin and zxr10LabelRangeCfgMax against zxr10LabelRangeInuseMin and zxr10LabelRangeInuseMax for each zxr10LabelPoolType. If zxr10LabelRangeInuseMax approaches zxr10LabelRangeCfgMax, that signals the label pool is nearing exhaustion, which would soon prevent new LSPs from being signaled. This lets operators proactively expand the configured range or investigate unexpected label consumption before new label-switched paths start failing to establish.

What Can Be Monitored

  • configured label range min/max
  • in-use label range min/max
  • label pool type
  • label space utilization
