Description: Covers file system operations on ZTE ZXR10 routers, including storage capacity tracking and file transfer management.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is ZXR10-FILE-SYSTEM-MIB?
ZXR10-FILE-SYSTEM-MIB covers ZTE ZXR10 (T8000-series) routers running ROSng and reports the device's internal and removable storage inventory, such as flash, compact flash, or USB media. It exposes a storage table describing each storage device's name, type, description, total and available volume, removal status, initialization time, and an associated partition table. It is squarely a hardware-status MIB used to monitor storage capacity and physical presence -- catching low-disk-space conditions or unexpectedly removed storage media before they cause a firmware upgrade or configuration-save failure. It is a ZTE-proprietary module, though it fills the same role as the storage-monitoring section of the standard HOST-RESOURCES-MIB's hrStorageTable. It is typically deployed on ZXR10 core/edge routers where operators track flash/CF storage utilization ahead of firmware upgrades and configuration persistence operations. Engineers can download the ZXR10-FILE-SYSTEM-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-FILE-SYSTEM-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE ZXR10 (T8000 series) router
Monitoring Examples
An operator would compare zxr10storageVolumAvailable against zxr10storageVolumTotal for each entry in zxr10storageTable (keyed by zxr10storageIndex/zxr10storageName) to compute free-space percentage on the router's flash or CF card, catching a device running low on space before a firmware upgrade fails partway through. zxr10storageRemoved flags whether removable media such as a USB stick or CF card has been physically pulled, and zxr10partitionTable exposes the partition layout defined on that storage device.
What Can Be Monitored
- storage device inventory
- total storage capacity
- available/free storage space
- removable media presence
- storage device initialization time
- partition table layout
