What Is ZXR10-ARP-MIB?
ZXR10-ARP-MIB describes ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) configuration and cache information for ZTE's ZXROSNG-based ZXR10 routers/switches. It exposes configuration and status data for the ARP cache, along with proxy ARP configuration and ARP-related security settings (such as static/dynamic entry control or ARP inspection-style protections). Monitoring this MIB helps verify the software-level health of Layer 3 forwarding: checking ARP cache entries for expected IP-to-MAC bindings, confirming proxy ARP is enabled/disabled as intended, and validating ARP security settings are in force to catch ARP spoofing/misconfiguration issues that would otherwise cause intermittent connectivity failures. It corresponds conceptually to the standard IETF IP-MIB/ipNetToMediaTable ARP model but is implemented as a ZTE ZXROSNG-specific MIB. It is deployed on ZTE ZXR10 series routers and Layer 3 switches for network-edge or core IP forwarding. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the ZXR10-ARP-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZXR10-ARP-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- ZTE ZXR10 series routers/Layer 3 switches
Monitoring Examples
No sample object names were supplied for this MIB, but based on module_desc an admin would poll the router's ARP cache table entries to confirm expected IP-to-MAC bindings for critical next-hop devices, and check proxy ARP / ARP security configuration objects; a missing or stale ARP entry for a gateway would explain a sudden loss of reachability to that next hop.
What Can Be Monitored
- ARP cache entries (IP-to-MAC bindings)
- proxy ARP configuration
- ARP security settings
