Category: ZTE Access Node (ZTE-AN) Management

Description: Defines management objects for ZTE SA (Service Aggregation) platform configuration and status monitoring.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZTSAMIB?

ZTSAMIB is a ZTE-specific module associated with ZTE's SA (Service Aggregation) platform and provides visibility into the software agent and control processes running on the device, rather than a single hardware subsystem. It exposes process-level configuration and runtime state: an overall agent name and running state, plus per-process name, version, program file path, scheduling priority, and operating-system group/user IDs, along with primary and backup CPU/PIN assignments. It leans heavily on software-status monitoring -- confirming whether the management agent (ztsaAgentState) is running, which process versions are actually loaded, and which CPU board is currently primary versus standby for redundancy purposes -- functioning much like a lightweight process-table view of the device's internal control software. It has no apparent dependency beyond generic SNMPv2 SMI conventions, though its process-oriented structure conceptually overlaps with the standard HOST-RESOURCES-MIB process table. It is typically deployed on ZTE service-aggregation/transport platforms, where operators consult the ZTSAMIB MIB for insight into the health and CPU redundancy status of the device's internal management processes.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTSAMIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE SA (Service Aggregation) platform / transport network element

Monitoring Examples

An operator would poll ztsaAgentState to confirm the management agent is running normally, then check ztsaProcessName, ztsaProcessVersion, and ztsaProgramFile for each active process to verify the expected software build is loaded and running. ztsaPrimaryCPU and ztsaBackupCPU, together with their associated ztsaPrimaryPIN/ztsaBackupPIN values, reveal which CPU board is currently active versus standby, so an unexpected shift from primary to backup would flag a CPU failover event worth investigating.

What Can Be Monitored

  • management agent running state
  • process name and version
  • program file path
  • process scheduling priority
  • primary/backup CPU assignment
  • process user/group ID
