Description: The ASM/SSM service control model. The meanings of the values are: asm(1) - only ASM(*, G) requests are permitted, ASM(Any- Source Multicast) is defined in RFC 1112. ssm(2) - only SSM(S, G) requests are permitted, SSM(Source- Specific Multicast) is defined in RFC 3569. asmAndSsm(3) --- both ASM and SSM requests are permitted.

What is zxAnMldMVlanMldSsmCtrlMode?

This controls which multicast service models are permitted in an MVLAN: asm (Any-Source Multicast, RFC 1112 (*,G) requests only), ssm (Source-Specific Multicast, RFC 3569 (S,G) requests only), or asmAndSsm (both, the default). An admin would restrict this to ssm-only in a deployment (like many IPTV services) that exclusively uses source-specific multicast for content delivery, rejecting less-secure ASM join requests.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3902.1082.60.2.2.1.2.3.1.6
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> ZTE-AN-MLD-MIB::zxAnMldMVlanMldSsmCtrlMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3902.1082.60.2.2.1.2.3.1.6.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> ZTE-AN-MLD-MIB::zxAnMldMVlanMldSsmCtrlMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.3902.1082.60.2.2.1.2.3.1.6.1 i <value>
