Category: ZTE Access Node (ZTE-AN) Management

Description: Defines ZTE access node base interface configuration objects shared across all interface types.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZTE-AN-INTERFACE-BASE-MIB?

ZTE-AN-INTERFACE-BASE-MIB is a vendor MIB from ZTE Corporation defining base interface configuration objects shared across all interface types on ZTE Access Node (AN) broadband access platforms, such as DSLAM/OLT-style equipment. As a 'base' MIB it primarily exposes common interface attributes -- naming, type, administrative and operational state -- that other ZTE access-node MIBs build on for specific line-card technologies. Its monitoring role centers on interface operational status: whether a given access port or uplink is up, down, or in a fault condition, which is core hardware/software health information for access equipment. It is explicitly designed as a shared framework, so it depends on and is extended by other ZTE-AN-* technology-specific interface MIBs (and conceptually parallels the standard IF-MIB). It is deployed in ZTE broadband access network elements at telecom central offices or street cabinets. Engineers can download the ZTE-AN-INTERFACE-BASE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-INTERFACE-BASE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE Access Node (DSLAM/OLT-class) broadband access equipment

Monitoring Examples

No sample object names were provided for this module, so a specific table/object walk cannot be described without inventing OIDs; typically a base interface MIB of this kind would be polled for per-interface admin/oper status and type, analogous to ifAdminStatus/ifOperStatus in the standard IF-MIB, to detect access ports that have dropped from service.

What Can Be Monitored

  • interface administrative status
  • interface operational status
  • interface type/index mapping
