Description: Manages ZTE access node file system operations including file transfer, storage, and software image management.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is ZTE-AN-FILE-MIB?

ZTE-AN-FILE-MIB is a ZTE-proprietary module for managing file operations on ZTE Access Node (AN) broadband access equipment, such as DSLAM and OLT platforms used in carrier access networks. It exposes objects for controlling file transfer sessions (e.g., TFTP/FTP-based uploads and downloads), file storage locations, and software image management on the device's local file system. The module supports monitoring the hardware and software status of the access node indirectly through file transfer state, transfer success/failure results, and software image version and validity, which administrators use to confirm that firmware upgrades and configuration backups completed correctly. It is a standalone vendor module with no strong dependency on other MIBs beyond standard SNMP conventions. It is typically deployed by carriers running ZTE access nodes to automate and verify remote firmware upgrades and configuration file distribution. Engineers can download the ZTE-AN-FILE-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in ZTE-AN-FILE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • ZTE access-network (ZXA10) equipment

Monitoring Examples

Since sample_objects for this MIB were not provided, the concrete object names cannot be grounded from source data, but based on the module description an admin would typically poll file-transfer-state and transfer-result style objects (e.g., a file transfer status table) to confirm whether a firmware image push to a ZTE Access Node completed successfully. An anomaly such as a stuck or failed transfer status would indicate a failed firmware upgrade attempt. This MIB should be treated as a file/software management module rather than a general performance-counter MIB.

What Can Be Monitored

  • file transfer status
  • firmware/software image upload result
  • file storage state
  • software image management operations
