What Is XEROX-RESOURCES-TC?
XEROX-RESOURCES-TC is a Xerox XCMI (Xerox Common Management Interface) support module that defines shared textual conventions - data types and enumerations - for resource management on Xerox network printers and multifunction devices, covering consumables and resources such as toner, paper trays, and fonts. It does not describe interfaces, environment, or performance data directly; rather it supplies the resource-type, resource-persistence, and font-related type definitions that companion XCMI resource MIBs use to represent consumable/resource state. As a pure textual-convention module it has no runtime objects of its own and therefore plays no direct role in reporting hardware or software status - that responsibility belongs to the sibling MIB modules that import these types. It is explicitly a companion/dependency of the XCMI Document Resources MIB, without which its type definitions have no practical use. It is used internally by Xerox network printer/MFP management agents and by NMS tooling that decodes their SNMP data. Engineers can download the XEROX-RESOURCES-TC file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in XEROX-RESOURCES-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Xerox network printer/multifunction device
Monitoring Examples
This module defines only textual conventions (resource type, persistence, and font style/spacing enumerations) with no data-carrying object instances of its own, so there is no runtime monitoring scenario to describe here; actual resource/consumable status is exposed by the companion XCMI resources MIB that imports these types.

RFC description
Defines Xerox XCMI textual conventions for resource management data types and consumable identifiers.
Start monitoring Xerox network printer/multifunction device (resource-type textual-convention support, no runtime data) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
