Category: Xerox Printer Management

Description: Defines Xerox XCMI textual conventions for job monitoring MIB status codes and attribute types.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is XEROX-JOB-MONITORING-TC?

XEROX-JOB-MONITORING-TC is a Xerox Corporation (Common MIB Working Group) standard textual-convention module supporting XEROX-JOB-MONITORING-MIB, defining reusable enumerated types for print-job monitoring across Xerox devices. Its type definitions cover job service type, job/document state and state-reason codes (including extended and second-extended reason sets), document type, document filename type, document output method, group support, impressions-count type, and medium type. As a structural MIB it carries no data objects of its own — network management tools reference these types when decoding job/document state from the companion Job Monitoring MIB. It underlies Xerox networked printer/MFP job-monitoring support. Engineers can download the XEROX-JOB-MONITORING-TC file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in XEROX-JOB-MONITORING-TC. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Xerox networked printers/MFPs (job monitoring)

RFC description

Xerox MIB textual convention definitions for job monitoring and tracking on printing devices. Defines common data types and structures used for monitoring print job status, accounting, and completion on Xerox printers.

Start monitoring Xerox networked printers/MFPs (job/document-state textual-convention support, no runtime data) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
