Category: Miscellaneous and Vendor Registration

Description: Manages SAGEM cross-connection parameters for ATM and circuit emulation switching fabrics.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is XCONNECTION-MIB?

XCONNECTION-MIB is a SAGEM-Tolbiac (transmission-equipment division) proprietary MIB describing cross-connections in the physical layer of PDH/SDH multiplexer and cross-connect equipment — a specific case of the ETS 300 653 SubNetworkConnection model. Its link table, keyed by index, records sink/source termination-point type, CTP sink/source, name, group ID, direction, protection type/status, traffic status, and implementation, while cross-connection objects cover sink/source type and index, direction, name, an action trigger, a proceed flag, and a diagnostic result. As a configuration/status MIB it lets an administrator confirm cross-connect routing and protection status between termination points on SAGEM PDH/SDH transmission equipment. It is deployed on SAGEM-Tolbiac PDH/SDH transmission/cross-connect equipment. Engineers can download the XCONNECTION-MIB file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in XCONNECTION-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • SAGEM-Tolbiac PDH/SDH transmission/cross-connect equipment

Monitoring Examples

An administrator checks linkProtectionStatus and xconDiagnostic to confirm cross-connect protection state and recent action results on SAGEM PDH/SDH transmission equipment.
