Description: Defines conformance statements for Unisphere Service Selection Center client protocol management.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Unisphere-Data-SSC-Client-CONF?
Unisphere-Data-SSC-Client-CONF is a vendor-specific conformance module from Unisphere Networks (later Juniper's ERX platform) that specifies the agent capabilities requirements for the Service Selection Center (SSC) Client component of the SNMP agent on Unisphere Routing Switch products. Like other CONF modules, it does not itself expose live monitorable objects but declares which SSC Client-related objects and groups a compliant agent must implement, serving purely as a conformance/compliance reference. SSC in the ERX context relates to subscriber service selection (allowing dynamic assignment of services to broadband subscribers), so this conformance module indirectly relates to software feature support for that subscriber management capability rather than hardware status. It has an inherent dependency on the companion Unisphere SSC Client data MIB whose object groups it constrains support for. It would have been used during development/certification of Unisphere/Juniper ERX broadband router agent software supporting SSC-based subscriber service selection. Network engineers evaluating or troubleshooting this functionality can download the Unisphere-Data-SSC-Client-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-SSC-Client-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Unisphere Networks (later Juniper) ERX broadband/subscriber router
Monitoring Examples
An engineer validating a new ERX software build would use this conformance statement to confirm the SNMP agent implements the required SSC Client object groups, rather than an operator polling it for live device status. No sample objects are available since AGENT-CAPABILITIES modules define compliance requirements, not runtime data. Actual SSC client session or service-selection status would be exposed by the companion Unisphere SSC Client data MIB that this module references.
What Can Be Monitored
- SSC Client agent capability/conformance compliance
- supported SSC Client management object groups
