Category: Juniper/Unisphere Broadband

Description: Defines conformance statements for Unisphere RIP routing protocol configuration on ERX routers.

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is Unisphere-Data-RIP-CONF?

Unisphere-Data-RIP-CONF is an AGENT-CAPABILITIES conformance module documenting SNMP agent support for RIP (Routing Information Protocol) management objects on Unisphere/Juniper ERX routers. It defines no runtime monitoring objects of its own, containing only compliance statements and group references tied to the companion RIP data MIB. Its usefulness is limited to telling management tooling which RIP objects are implemented on a given ERX agent version, rather than exposing live RIP route or timer data. It is entirely dependent on the corresponding Unisphere RIP MIB module for its object definitions. It is used during SNMP agent capability validation for ERX routers running the RIP routing protocol. Engineers can download the Unisphere-Data-RIP-CONF file directly to load it into their MIB browser.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-RIP-CONF. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • Juniper/Unisphere ERX edge routing switch (agent capability declaration only)

Monitoring Examples

This is a conformance/AGENT-CAPABILITIES module with no runtime data objects; sample_objects is empty, so there is no monitoring scenario to describe here beyond declaring compliance with the related RIP data MIB's object groups.
