Description: Manages named subscriber and service profiles on Unisphere ERX broadband routers.
Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.
What Is Unisphere-Data-PROFILE-MIB?
Unisphere-Data-PROFILE-MIB manages named subscriber and service profiles on Unisphere ERX broadband aggregation routers. It defines tables that map profile names to numeric IDs (usdProfileNameTable, usdProfileIdTable) and track which interfaces have a given profile assigned (usdProfAssignIfTable), covering the configuration category of data rather than physical hardware sensors. Administrators use it to monitor the software-side provisioning state of the router, confirming that the correct service profile (e.g., a QoS or PPP policy template) is applied to a subscriber-facing interface and that profile IDs remain consistent, which is critical for large-scale broadband deployments with thousands of provisioned lines. It has no notable dependency beyond the base Unisphere enterprise MIB tree it belongs to. It is deployed on ERX-series broadband service routers used by ISPs to aggregate DSL/cable subscribers, and operators often load it into a Unisphere-Data-PROFILE-MIB MIB Browser to inspect profile assignments directly.
IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in Unisphere-Data-PROFILE-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.
Supported Devices
- Unisphere/Juniper ERX broadband edge router
Monitoring Examples
An operator would cross-reference usdProfileNameTable (usdProfileNameName, usdProfileNameId) with usdProfAssignIfTable/usdProfAssignIfIndex to confirm a specific subscriber interface has the intended profile applied. A row appearing in usdProfileIdTable with usdProfileIdId but no matching usdProfAssignIfIndex entry would flag an orphaned or unassigned profile. usdProfileNameRowStatus is checked during provisioning to confirm a new profile was created successfully.
What Can Be Monitored
- profile name-to-ID mapping
- profile assignment to interfaces
- row status of profile provisioning
- count of defined profiles
