usdAcctngFileXferSecondaryIndex

Module: Unisphere-Data-ACCOUNTING-MIB

OID (symbolic): Unisphere-Data-ACCOUNTING-MIB::usdAcctngFileXferSecondaryIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4874.2.2.24.1.2.1.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Identifies a backup or secondary entry in the usdFileXferTable, which defines the file transfer parameters to use when the agent is configured to automatically transfer collected accounting data files. A set to this object will fail if a corresponding entry in the usdFileXferTable does not exist or it is not set to usdFileXferAcctngStatistics.

What is usdAcctngFileXferSecondaryIndex?

This value identifies a backup entry in the usdFileXferTable used as the second destination when usdAcctngFileXferMode is set to usdAcctngRedundantTransfer, and the set will fail if no matching, correctly configured entry exists. An admin configures this alongside usdAcctngFileXferIndex to ensure accounting data reaches a second server if the primary transfer destination is unavailable. For example, pairing a primary index of 3 with a secondary index of 4 sends redundant copies of each accounting file to two different servers.
