What Is TUBS-IBR-LINUX-MIB?
TUBS-IBR-LINUX-MIB is an experimental, vendor-neutral academic MIB (from the Institute of Operating Systems and Computer Networks, TU Braunschweig) for monitoring core Linux operating system resource usage over SNMP, independent of any specific hardware vendor. It exposes system performance data covering CPU load, load averages, and (per its description) memory, disk, and process statistics on a Linux host. This MIB is directly and explicitly a software/OS-status monitoring tool -- it is built specifically to track CPU load (via linuxCPU and linuxBogo/BogoMips-derived metrics) and load averages over 1, 5, and 15-minute windows (linuxLoadAvg1/5/15), plus the described memory, disk, and process-level statistics, making it a compact analog to Net-SNMP's UCD-SNMP-MIB for general Linux system health.
