Description: TM62-MIB module

Start monitoring vendor-neutral, standards-based MIB, any SNMPv3-capable network device (SNMP engine identity/boot/clock status) with a free 30-day trial of IPNetwork Monitor. Import MIBs, browse SNMP OIDs, create custom SNMP monitors, configure alerts, and monitor any SNMP-enabled network device from a single console.

What Is TM62-MIB?

TM62-MIB is a small proprietary enterprise MIB, apparently from the Polish LANEX telecom equipment line (the module description is a Polish-language scaling comment, and sample objects reference 'lanex' and 'telecom'), for a device identified as TM62. It exposes basic device-identity objects (mainDeviceName, mainDeviceDescription, mainDeviceType, mainLNMPAddress, mainDevicePhysicalNumber) alongside an event log (logTable, logIndexLastEvent, logErase) and password-activity tracking. It is used to monitor both hardware and software status of the device: mainHardwareVersion and mainDeviceSoftwareVersion/mainSoftwareVersion expose the installed hardware revision and firmware version, logIndexLastEvent tracks the most recent logged event (useful for fault history), and mainPasswordActivity flags recent authentication activity for security auditing. It is a standalone enterprise MIB with no evident dependency on other MIBs beyond standard SNMPv2-SMI conventions. It is deployed on LANEX-branded telecom/power monitoring units where firmware version tracking and basic event-log review are needed, and technicians typically load it into a TM62-MIB MIB Browser session to inspect the device-identity and event-log objects directly.

IPNetwork Monitor allows you to monitor SNMP objects defined in TM62-MIB. Use the built-in SNMP Monitoring Browser to explore available variables, view their current values and descriptions, and select the objects you want to monitor. You can then create SNMP monitors, configure thresholds, and receive alerts when monitored values change.

Supported Devices

  • LANEX telecom equipment (TM62 device)
  • telecom/power monitoring unit

Monitoring Examples

An admin would poll mainDeviceSoftwareVersion and mainHardwareVersion across a fleet of TM62 units to confirm all devices are running the expected firmware revision before a maintenance window. logIndexLastEvent would be checked to see whether a new event (e.g. a fault or reset) has been logged since the last poll, with logErase available to clear the log after review. mainPasswordActivity would be monitored to flag unexpected password/authentication activity on the device.

What Can Be Monitored

  • device name/description/type
  • hardware version
  • software version
  • last logged event index
  • password activity
