vRtrRsvpIfHelloInterval

Module: TIMETRA-RSVP-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-RSVP-MIB::vRtrRsvpIfHelloInterval

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.7.3.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Access: read-create

Description: The value of vRtrRsvpIfHelloInterval specifies the length of time, in seconds, between the Hello packets that the router sends on the interface. This value must be the same for all routers attached to a common network. When vRtrRsvpIfHelloInterval is set to a value of zero (0), the sending of hello messages is disabled.

What is vRtrRsvpIfHelloInterval?

Sets how often, in milliseconds (default 3000), this router sends RSVP Hello packets on the interface, a value that must match across all routers on the same common network; setting it to 0 disables Hello messages entirely. Operators use Hellos to detect a neighbor failure faster than waiting for the regular Path/Resv refresh timeout would allow.
