Description: The value of vRtrRsvpGeneralRefreshTime controls the interval between the seccessive Path and Resv refresh messages. RSVP declares the session down after it misses ((keep-multiplier + 0.5) * 1.5 * refresh-time)) consecutive refresh messages.

When the value of vRtrRsvpIfRefreshTime is set to zero (0), the value of vRtrRsvpGeneralRefreshTime is applied to that specific RSVP interface.

What is vRtrRsvpGeneralRefreshTime?

Sets the interval, in seconds (default 30), between successive RSVP Path and Resv refresh messages; a session is declared down after missing roughly (keep-multiplier + 0.5) * 1.5 refresh intervals' worth of messages. This router-wide value applies to any interface whose own refresh time is set to 0, and operators tune it to balance RSVP control-plane overhead against how quickly a failed session is detected.
