Description:
Automatic Protection Switching (APS) is supported on 7x50 systems by the APS-MIB and TIMETRA-APS-MIB.
What is tmnxSonetAps?
This object controls whether Automatic Protection Switching (APS) is enabled on SONET interfaces on TIMETRA 7x50 series systems. When enabled, APS allows automatic failover between working and protection circuits at the SONET level. An operator would configure this to enable redundancy and automatic recovery from SONET line failures on high-availability circuits.
