Module: TIMETRA-PORT-MIB

OID (symbolic): TIMETRA-PORT-MIB::tmnxDS3ChannelIdleCycleFlags

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.2.4.11.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TmnxDSXIdleCycleFlags

Access: read-create

Description:

tmnxDS3ChannelIdleCycleFlags configures the value that the DS3 port transmits during idle cycle.

The default value applies to HDLC channels only. For ATM channels the object does not really apply so a default value of 'none' is used and cannot be changed.

What is tmnxDS3ChannelIdleCycleFlags?

This configurable setting specifies what bit pattern the DS3 port transmits when no real data is being sent. It affects how idle periods are handled and can be adjusted per channel type (HDLC or ATM). A technician would change this value when tuning port behavior to match downstream equipment requirements.
